December 2025 - When to apply for your next job using Astrology

Hello friends! We made it to December, and what a year it has been. This month’s election takes advantage of a powerful Moon in the first whole sign house and an MC supported by an exalted Jupiter.

This election is in the first week of December, well before the end-of-year holidays.

The Election Window

This Election is for timing when you click “submit” on your applications. I’ve outlined a game plan below to help you get everything ready. We’re aiming to submit applications when the Ascendant degree is as close to either the Moon (or Jupiter!) as possible without going over into Leo. All times are Pacific Standard Time (PST)

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2025

🟡 Prep Time: 5:41 PM PST – 6:13 PM PST

This is your cushion before it’s go time. At 5:37 PM (PST) is around when the Ascendant first enters Cancer. If you have many applications to submit, you CAN start submitting as early as 5:41 PM (PST) when the Ascendant enters Cancer and the MC is in Pisces.

🟢 Go Time: 6:13 PM - 6:48 PM PST

This is the sweet spot, when the Ascendant is in the bound of Venus, at about 7º Cancer, within orb of the Moon at 15º Cancer. The MC is still in Pisces, a sign traditionally ruled by this currently exalted Jupiter. If possible, submit your most important applications between 6:13 PM and 6:48 PM PST.

🔴 Hard Stop: 7:59 PM PST

As long as your Ascendant is in Cancer, in the first whole sign house, you’re still good to submit applications, even though the MC moves into Aries after 6:48 PM PST. Stop after 7:59 PM PST, because the Ascendant changes to Leo and the Moon moves into the cadent 12th House, losing angular power. The election window is closed.

Why this election is good for submitting job applications:

  • The Moon is the chart ruler, and she is powerful in her own sign of Cancer in the first whole-sign house. Since the Sun is still below the horizon, this is a night chart, giving the Moon an extra boost of authority as the sect light of this chart. The Moon and the Ascendant angle are free from harsh rays from Mars and Saturn, and benefit from being in the same sign as an exalted Jupiter.

  • A trine from Saturn in Pisces to the Ascendant does not harm the first whole sign house, as this is not a ‘harsh’ aspect. Further, Jupiter casts a close degree-based trine back to Saturn, further softening and supporting Saturn in the 9th whole sign house.

  • I prefer the MC in Pisces even though it’s approaching Saturn because an exalted, angular Jupiter is supporting both. When the MC moves to Aries, it will be supported by Mars, peregrine in Sagittarius.

  • Mars, a hot and dry planet, in a hot and dry fire sign of Sagittarius, emerging from under the hot and dry Sun, can make this Mars volatile and excessive as it supports an MC in Aries. Having said that, the condition of the MC is not as important as what is happening to the Moon and the Ascendant. If you still have applications to submit beyond “Go Time”, keep submitting your applications, but stop before 8 PM (PST).

I’m hopeful that the job market starts to bounce back in the coming year. Sending love and solidarity to everyone searching for new positions. May you soon find yourself back on your feet and/or in a more fulfilling work environment worthy of your talents.
