It feels like this year has gone by in a flash. This month’s election takes advantage of Jupiter right on the MC, before it goes retrograde and Venus in Libra before she heads into Scorpio. The Moon in Taurus is ahh! Chef’s kiss.

Keep in mind that November and December are typically when hiring slows down. Companies tend to post less jobs during this time, and hiring managers may be less responsive as the year wraps up. Try not to be too hard on yourself, that’s the nature of the beast this time of year. This election is on the very early side but I think it’s so worth it!

The Election Window

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2025

This Election is for timing when you click “submit” on your applications. I’ve outlined some timeframes to help you get everything ready. We’re aiming to submit applications when the Ascendant degree is as close to Venus as possible without going over into Scorpio. All times are Pacific Standard Time (PST)

🟡 Prep Time: 3 AM PST – 4:40 AM PST

You DO NOT have to start preparing to submit your applications this crazy early, but this is your cushion before it’s go time. 3 AM (PST) is around when the Ascendant first enters Libra. Grab some coffee, line up your application(s), fill everything out. Be careful with filling out your applications the night before because sometimes web pages can time out, and you might need to fill in everything all over again.

🟢 Go Time: 4:40 AM - 5:01 AM PST

This is the ideal sweet spot, when the Ascendant is in the bound of Venus, at about 22º Libra, within orb of Venus at 28º Libra. The MC is also still in Cancer with Jupiter. If possible, submit all your applications between 4:40 AM and 5:01 AM PST.

If you have many applications to submit, you CAN start submitting as early as 3 AM (PST) when the Ascendant enters Libra. We are aiming to get the Ascendant within about 8º of Venus, but as long as your Ascendant is in Libra, in the first whole sign house, you’re good. Anytime between 3 AM and 5:15 AM PST on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, is auspicious for submitting job applications.

🔴 Hard Stop: 5:15 AM

Shortly after 5:15 AM PST, the rising sign changes to Scorpio. The election window is closed.

Why this election is good for submitting job applications:

Venus is the chart ruler, and she is powerful in her own sign of Libra in the first whole-sign house. Since the Sun is still below the horizon, this is a night chart, giving Venus an extra boost of authority. Venus and the Ascendant angle are free from harsh rays from Mars and Saturn, which means Venus is unhindered in her ability to bring order, fairness and balance to you as the applicant for the job(s) you’re going for.
Having Jupiter in the 10th house of career and reputation brings good fortune to these areas. This is especially true as Jupiter is in exaltation (in Cancer) close to the MC angle. Jupiter and the Moon are both free from harsh rays of the malefics: Mars and Saturn.
The Moon can support Jupiter from the 8th house in Taurus. The Moon is also in exaltation, in the house of reciprocity and important collaborations. Since this election is to help with job applications, I am ok with the Moon being in the 8th as she is supporting Jupiter. After all, this is a night chart, and this full, juicy, powerful Moon is running the show.
