We made it to September, friends! This election takes advantage of Mercury in exaltation. Mercury is the planet that represents communication, business deals, contracts, agreements, and technology - exactly what we need for a successful job hunt.

The Election Window
This Virgo-rising chart is for timing when you click βsubmitβ on your job applications.
Weβre aiming to submit our most important job applications when the Virgo Ascendant degree is within the bounds of either Mercury, Venus or Jupiter. Virgo rising gives about 2.5 hours in total to work with before the Ascendant moves into Libra.
Below is a game plan to help us get everything submitted during this auspicious time. All times are Pacific Standard (PST).
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2026
π¨This election is ideal for applying directly to positions through company websites rather than applying through networks or agencies.
π‘ Prep Time / π’ Go Time: 5:36 AM PST β 7:13 AM PST
The first 2/3s of Virgo is within the bounds of Mercury (the exalted ruler currently in Virgo), followed by the bounds of Venus, then Jupiter. This gives us a generous window to prep and submit applications.
The sweet spot is when the Ascendant is within the bounds of Jupiter, closely applying to Virgo at around 17ΒΊ.
The Ascendant will take about 15 minutes to traverse the bound of Jupiter, at which point we can submit our most important applications between 7:00 AM and 7:15 AM PST.
π Wrap It Up: 7:15 AM PST β 7:55 AM PST
If youβre not yet finished, keep going! The overall election window is good as long as the Ascendant is in Virgo. After 7:15 AM, the Ascendant enters the bounds of the malefics, Mars and Saturn.
π΄ Hard Stop: 7:57 AM PST
Stop before 7:57 AM PST, because the Ascendant will have changed to Libra. The 10th house of career will have a fallen Mars in Cancer and the Ascendant will be opposite a fallen Saturn in Aries. The election window is closed.
β Why this election is good for submitting job applications:
Our chart ruler is a powerful Mercury in Virgo, in the sign of their exaltation and domicile. While Mercury is under the rays, Mercury is a highly adaptable planet that is not as compromised by being close to the Sun as other planets are.
The Moon is in the Midheaven / 10th house of career and praxis. She is in Mercuryβs sign of Gemini, with an angular Lot of Fortune. The Moonβs next application is to Jupiter in Leo.
The Lot of Fortune AND the Moon are both angular and well supported by Mercury. The Lot of Fortune represents the things that happen beyond our control, so it is auspicious that the Lot is equally supported by Mercury.
Neither the Moon or Mercury nor the Ascendant (or Lot of Fortune) are maltreated by the malefics.

As Mars is in Cancer in the 11th in this chart, this election is not recommended for anything to do with networks, friends, and associates; social media/email campaigns; or public-facing launches.
