August 2026 - When to apply for your next job using Astrology

August 2026 has packed a punch with an eclipse in Leo in the first half and 2 Hellenistic void moons. Nevertheless, we persist! In this auspicious election for August, our Moon is applying to Venus in Libra, and our chart ruler, Jupiter, is supported by triplicity. Let’s get into it!

The Election Window

This Sagittarius-rising chart is for timing when you click “submit” on your job applications.

We’re aiming to submit our most important job applications when the Sagittarius Ascendant degree is within the bounds of Venus or Jupiter. Sagittarius rising gives about 2 hours in total to work with before the Ascendant moves into Capricorn.

Below is a game plan to help us get everything submitted during this auspicious time. All times are Pacific Standard (PST).

THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2026

🟡 Prep Time / 🟢 Go Time: 2:02 PM PST – 3:04 PM PST

If you have many applications to submit, consider lining everything up before our 2 PM start time. Just hold off on submitting anything until the Ascendant enters Sagittarius.

The sweet spot is when the Ascendant is within the bounds of Jupiter and Venus, anywhere in the first half of Sagittarius, from 0°- 16°.

This window extends through the bounds of Venus, giving us about an hour to submit our most important applications between 2:02 PM and 3:04 PM PST.

🟠 Wrap It Up: 3:04 PM PST – 4:00 PM PST

If you’re not yet finished, keep going! The election window is good as long as the Ascendant is in Sagittarius. After 3:04 PM, the Ascendant enters the bounds of Mercury, which is still good, as Mercury is in the same sign as Jupiter, with the domicile lord Sun in the same sign.

🔴 Hard Stop: 4:04 PM PST

Stop before 4:04 PM PST, because the Ascendant will have changed to Capricorn. The Moon will have moved to the cadent 12th house, and the chart ruler hands over to Saturn in Aries, the sign of his humiliation. The election window is closed.

Why this election is good for submitting job applications:

  • Our chart ruler is Jupiter in Leo, supported by the Sun in an overcoming trine to the Ascendant and the Moon. This configuration is a huge boost to the Moon in the sign of Jupiter.

  • The Moon is gaining light, moving closer to fullness, applying next to a domiciled Venus in Libra. Venus is separating from Saturn.

  • Neither the Moon, Jupiter nor the Ascendant are maltreated by the malefics. Saturn casts a trine and Mars is averse.

I hope this summer is treating you well and that you are finding support in whatever form you may need. I apologize for being MIA in July. I’m adjusting to a new work schedule that's less accommodating in many ways, but like so many of you, I’m making it work.

I’m so grateful to be here in service to you with these elections, and I hope that they are helpful.

Sending you love and solidarity, always. —Ana
