April 2026 - When to apply for your next job using Astrology

After last month’s rough astrology weather, I am so happy to propose this election for April job seekers—(ahem, that includes me). This election is right after the New Moon, with the Moon poised to grow in light.

Both Venus AND the Moon is in Taurus; Both free and unbothered by the troublemakers: Saturn and Mars.

This Taurus-rising chart is for timing when you click “submit” on your job applications.

We’re aiming to submit our most important job applications when the Ascendant degree is within the bound of Jupiter. Even though our prep time is early, Taurus rising gives us a generous hour and a half to work with.

Below is a game plan to help us get everything submitted during this auspicious time. All times are Pacific Standard (PST).

SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2026

🟡 Prep Time: 6:27 AM PST – 7:08 AM PST

This is our cushion before it’s go time. At 6:27 AM (PST) is around when the Ascendant first enters Taurus. If you have many applications to submit, you CAN start submitting as early as 6:27 AM (PST) when the Ascendant first enters Taurus.

🟢 Go Time: 7:08 PM - 7:33 AM PST

This is the sweet spot, when the Ascendant is in the bound of Jupiter, at about 14º Taurus, well within orb of the exalted Moon at about 13º and the domicilled Venus in the first whole sign house.

If possible, submit your most important applications between 7:08 AM and 7:33 AM PST. After 7:33 AM, the Ascendant conjoins Venus in the bound of Saturn.

🟠 Wrap It Up: 7:33 AM PST – 7:57 AM PST

During this time frame, the Ascendant will still be within orb of Venus. As long as your Ascendant is in Taurus, in the first whole sign house, you’re still good to keep submitting applications.

🔴 Hard Stop: 8:00 AM PST

Stop at 8:00 AM PST, because the Ascendant will have changed to Gemini. Mercury, the governor of the horoscope, is maltreated by a Saturn in Aries, the sign of his exile. The election window is closed.

Why this election is good for submitting job applications:

  • Taurus rises, hosting a domiciled Venus in the first whole sign house. Venus is the governor of the horoscope, in her own sign and at the helm!

  • The Moon is exalted and is slowly gaining light as she moves closer to her host: Venus. Venus is in excellent condition and fully capable of hosting the Moon in her sign, allowing both Venus and the Moon to bring maximum, benefic power in this election.

  • BOTH Mars and Saturn are tucked away and out of sight in the cadent 12th house. This makes both Mars and Saturn incapable of casting harmful rays onto Venus and the Moon, allowing both of our queens to express their full essential nature without corruption. 💅

—Venus 💅✨

As uncertainty continues to color much of our reality, I hope we can lean into the restorative energy of Venus in Taurus. Taurus, the sign of self-care and care for one another in physical and material ways. The Moon here reminds us of the importance of listening to our bodies when we need rest, and taking our time with what actually matters.

As Gina Näuman wisely noted on her Substack, “Do not mistake rest and slowness for weakness. Mother Nature never rushes but gets everything done.”

Venus invites us to indulge in pleasures that fill our cups and renew us, especially in good company. She encourages us to put our surroundings in order and to reconnect with spiritual practices in whatever form they take for each individual. All of these Venusian themes can be a balm for our spirits and bodies as we navigate our current world.

Sending you love and solidarity, always. —Ana
