March 2026 - When to apply for your next job using Astrology
Hello friends! The astrology for March 2026 is pretty rough, to put it mildly. While Jupiter will be in Cancer until June 30, the overcoming square it receives from Saturn in Aries is going to take the air out of its tires.💨
Even though Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, we have to remember that essential dignity alone does not cancel out the maltreatment it receives from other planets currently in transit.
While Mars and Saturn are spoilers this month on many fronts, we shall persevere nevertheless! This month’s recommended election to submit job applications is going to be towards the end of the month.

The Election Window
This Leo-rising chart is for timing when you click “submit” on your applications.
The Sun, lord of Leo, has a wide 15º orb. This means that pretty much anytime while the Ascendant is in Leo is gonna be good for submitting applications during this window.
If you’re highly particular like me, aim to submit the most important job applications when the Ascendant degree is as close to 4º Leo as possible.
Below is a game plan to help you get everything submitted during this auspicious time. All times are Pacific Standard (PST).
TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 2026
🟡 / 🟢 Prep Time / Go Time: 1:56 PM PST – 3:27 PM PST
The sweet spot we are aiming for is when the Ascendant is at 4º Leo, and it trines the Sun at 4º Aries at 2:15 PM (PST). Since this is fairly early in our election window, I’ve combined our usual prep time with go time.
The Ascendant will be within 15º of the Sun during this solid time.
If you need more time to line everything up for your job applications, you can start setting up earlier, but just don’t submit any applications until the Ascendant enters Leo.
🟠 Wrap It Up: 3:27 PM PST – 4:16 PM PST
During this time frame, the Ascendant will move past the 15º orb of the Sun. We will still be within a whole sign-based trine to the Sun, so if you’re not done, it’s still good! As long as your Ascendant is still in Leo, in the first whole sign house, you’re still good to keep submitting applications.
🔴 Hard Stop: 4:19 PM PST
Stop after 4:19 PM PST, because the Ascendant will have changed to Virgo, where the lord of Virgo, Mercury, is estranged in Pisces and conjoining Mars. The election window is closed.
Why this election is good for submitting job applications:
Leo rises, and the Sun (lord of Leo) is rejoicing in the 9th house. Mars cannot see the Ascendant being tucked away in the 8th whole-sign house, and the other troublemaker, Saturn, is exactly cazimi in Aries.
Our Queen, the Moon, is in the 11th house of friends, networks, and associates. She is not as well supported by Mercury as I’d like, since Mercury is maltreated by adherence to Mars, but the Moon is growing in light, moving towards fullness, and in a good house.
The Sun is in Venus’s good company as she’s pulling away from combustion, in her own bound, and applying to the midheaven (MC) angle. Venus while in Aries brings us charm and boldness, with the ability to gracefully handle ourselves under pressure.
A Saturn in cazimi is a debilitated Saturn. It adds driness to the Sun, giving us seriousness, gravitas, and an extra boost of endurance. Venus, also here in Aries, will counter-balance and bring much-needed softness and approachability.
It’s hard to believe we are already in March. My heart and mind are with the people of Iran, Palestine, Venezuela, and every other country impacted by imperialism, colonial greed, and “the American way”.
It’s crazy to be out here applying for jobs and talk about “what we do for fun” in job interviews as the world continues to burn. While many families with loved ones far away are worried for their safety and well-being. This, while gas prices and the cost of living continue to squeeze us.
Still we rise! Let’s take every opportunity to do good for one another while honoring our own boundaries. An empty cup cannot fill another empty cup.
Holding the door for the person behind us, not honking at the slow driver ahead of us, putting our phone down while our loved ones are telling us about their day. Small kindnesses in our current world right now go a really long way.
Sending you love and solidarity, always. —Ana
